BAFE
Established in 1984, BAFE is a non-profit making organization dedicated to improving standards in fire protection. It is supported, amongst others, by government, trading standards and the Heath and Safety Executive. BAFE adopts third party Certification schemes developed by independent certifications bodies and where there are not relevant schemes in place, develops its own.
If you are an employer or building owner / occupier you have a duty of care under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 to take the necessary steps to protect your employees and people within your building from the risk of fire.
In today's environment of risk assessment, with the increasing responsibility for safety on the owner / occupier, it is important that the quality of fire protection ensures "fit for purpose" and is installed and maintained by "competent persons". In choosing a fire protection company which is BAFE Registered you are assured that its products and services conform to recognised standards.

Independent European Certification - BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 -
BS EN ISO 9001:2000 forms part of a family of ISO 9000 standards, documents and guidelines, with new or revised documents being added all the time to inform and increase companies' understanding of requirements and continually improve their business models.
In December 2000, the International Organisation for Standardisation introduced a revised set of Quality Management standards based on a process model. The new emphasis within the documents focused on Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement within the business. Therefore, BS EN ISO 9001:2000 is principally a world wide recognised set of rules which companies implement with the aim of enhancing product or service quality within their organisation.
